The Cinema Market in numbers   versione testuale

Following on from the success of the first edition, the market and the cinema industry in Italy now returns. The 2009 report will be presented on 26th May at the Università LUISS "Guido Carli" in Rome at 11:30.
The objective of the new edition is to provide an analysis of the cinema market in Italy through an examination of every single sector and subject within the industry.
The Report has been updated and modified to include new chapters which develop the research and economic results of Festival and Premi to the point of elaborating on the balance of power and financial accounts of the large and small film studios found in Italy. Among the topics dealt with are: the role of the Film Commission, spectator numbers in cinema halls, box office blockbusters and box office flops.
The 2009 Report, produced by the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo in collaboration with numerous researchers and scholars, represents a unique element in Italian publications within the sector. The presentation of the volume will also include the participation of the scientific editor Redento Mori, the President of the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo Dario E. Viganò, the President of the Faculty of Political Science at LUISS "Guido Carli" University Sebastiano Maffettone, the General Director for Cinema of MiBAC Nicola Borrelli, the AD Cinecittà Luce Luciano Sovena, the film critic Paolo Mereghetti and the renowned scholar of media and communication Michele Sorice. The presentation will be chaired by the Managing Editor for culture and entertainment of «Il Messaggero» Gloria Satta.
